Bob Evans Farms was founded by Bob Evans in 1948, when he began, grew up sausage pigs on his farm in Rio Grande, Ohio. Bob was motivated to serve the sausage in a restaurant he owned 12 stools at Gallipolis, Ohio. The sausage was so popular with customers that Bob has decided to focus on the creation of a sausage making.
After Bob Evans sausage company was known Bob opened the restaurant 12 stool on his farm, which he called the sausage shop. This original restaurant still operates today with 134 seats, and is considered the first Bob Evans Restaurant.
In 2012, Bob Evans Farms, Inc. consisted of more than 700 Bob Evans Restaurants, over 100 restaurants Cafe Mim, Bob Evans brand shops and food Ownes landmark sausage.
