Wendy employees keep the spirit of founder Dave Thomas after living "What we believe" corporate guidelines. (See Wendy mission statement below.)
After working closely with Colonel Harland Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise, Dave Thomas started his own business fast food franchise in 1969 that the name of his daughter Melinda Lou (nicknamed "Wenda" which was his own was baby pronunciation of his name).
