Retailers have the best reputation among ...

What are the retailers have the best and worst reputation among American consumers? And more importantly, how can something as intangible as measured "reputation"? Some consumers today have an informed opinion on this issue, and look forward to identify the best and worst of the US retail.

Each market research firm Harris Interactive is the year, the task of identifying companies in all industries that have a reputation for good and bad in the opinion of the American consumer. In 2015, more than 24,000 consumers were surveyed to quantify on a two-stage process and classify such a thing can not be quantified as the reputation of the brand.

The first step of consumer opinion brand reputation Harris Interactive survey was to identify the "visible" companies were companies. These are the companies that performed for the consumer when they were asked to identify two most prestigious companies and two companies with the worst reputation. After feedback from consumers, the most frequently mentioned 60 companies' business visible "were given a name and later of the study were included in the second part.

The second part of the survey, the awareness of the brand was the "evaluation phase". During the evaluation phase, we asked consumers the "Attributes reputation" for a maximum of two companies that evaluate "very familiar" or "somewhat familiar" with goods. Harris Interactive found that the sum of twenty attributes to determine whether a company is a good or bad reputation. These attributes of twenty categories were:

  • The low-risk investment
  • The growth prospects
6) Vision and leadership
  • Market opportunities
  • Excellent guide
  • A clear vision for the future

The resulting total consumption ratings are so-called Reputation Quotient (RQ) and the final ranking reflects the high low RQ scores.

Here you will find the complete list of retailers that are listed alphabetically in the top 20 of the best reputation, The Star in 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, and 2011. The list is by company name. The numbers after each year is the reputation of the brand rankings that get the company this year, compared with reputation ranking 100 companies in all industries.
