Barnes & Noble Booksellers chain Founder:
Barnes & Noble was originally a printing company that was started by Charles Barnes 1873 in Wheaton, IL. Son of William Barnes opened the first library parner G. Clifford Noble in 1917 in the city of New York. Leonard Riggio, the owner of the chain Student Book Exchange, bought the brand and Barnes & Noble's flagship store on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
